ABSTRACT
Chapter 10 discusses the Siegfried dream vision and its importance in Jung’s unconscious dynamic. By addressing his dominant function in the dream, Jung was able to shift his spirit of the times in order to fully access what The Red Book material would require of him. Included here is a look at the merry garden scene in The Red Book, which reveals that Jung gleaned psychological attributes of the shadow and the unconscious from physical descriptions he saw around men.
