ABSTRACT
This chapter has a brief discussion about concepts that emerged post-Red Book. ‘The Psychological Foundations of Belief in Spirits’ sees Jung emerging out of The Red Book material looking to place the dead into a psychological framework and bridging the idea of split-off parts of the psyche and the dead existing in se. ‘Concerning Rebirth’ also reveals Jung’s thoughts about ancestral souls and their definition.
