ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses Jung’s visioning skill within varied experiences. Two examples, the garden party dream and his out-of-body experience are used to discuss the complexities of his visioning in both a dream setting and a vision. Discussion of not only what he saw in each case but how he saw it helps move toward an idea of how Jung conceptualised the unconscious as both place and process. The examples include an examination of how such material gave way to prescient events and his interpretation.
