ABSTRACT

There are a series of tabs located at the bottom left-hand corner of the drawing window titled “Model” and “Layout 1” “Layout 2,” and so on. Clicking on one of the Layout tabs will take users to a new window within the program. It is helpful to think of each Layout tab as a separate sheet of paper. Hovering over one of the Layout tabs and then using a short right-click, will bring up a right-click menu that will allow users to perform several functions to manipulate the Layout tabs. Within the right-click menu, there are several options for creating new Layout tabs. As with most things within the AutoCAD software, the appearance of the Layout is extremely customizable. The most common thing that users change is the background color and the paper color that is displayed within the program. Within the Page Setup menu, users can select what plotter they will be using to print the sheet Layout.
