ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses two methods for using AutoCAD's Model Space as a primary means of presentation for design conversation. AutoCAD allows users to create camera views, which allow them to specify a specific angle to view a three-dimensional (3D) AutoCAD model from. It is perhaps easiest to begin the creation of a camera view by setting the 3D model to an isometric view. This allows users to see all three axis of the 3D model when placing the camera. The Object Grip on the camera allows users to move the position of the camera. When users click on a camera, the 3D Move Gizmo is attached to the camera, allowing them to change the position of the camera along the X, Y or Z axis. An Animated Motion Path allows users to create a video walk through of a 3D AutoCAD model. One additional tool that exists within the Animation panel is the Walk and Fly Animation tools.
