ABSTRACT

Based on a new case study from my consulting experience at Kimono, in this chapter I exemplify how HOOD (habitus-oriented OD) understands resistance to chance (RTC). Unlike currently accepted approaches, which search for RTC within the individual, in the social context and between change agents’ creators and acceptors, the HOOD searches for RTC in the habitus, which is the product of ongoing interactions between organizations’ social structures and individuals’ (and groups’) behavior.
