ABSTRACT

Learning and Development (L&D) professionals, teachers, trainers and the management work in strong interaction and in teams. In successful High Impact Learning that Lasts (HILL) organisations, it is surprising but encouraging to see that all layers (management, L&D professionals, learners) have, independent of their role, a similar vision of learning and development and the approach to realise this. Both practice and learning sciences have shown for a long time that providing constructive feedback creates a strong and effective learning moment. Successful High Impact Learning is boosted by a clear focus on continuous problem-solving, both by learners and coaches, in order to solve problems that are relevant to the learner, to the organisation or to current society. L&D activities and practices need to be aligned with the overall business strategy to ensure that employees are trained and develop those newly required competences.
