ABSTRACT

The Scientor Academy which was established in 2008, is the department responsible for training employees and facilitating learning in all global divisions. In total, eight employees take care of the learning needs within Scientor N.V. The Academy offers a wide range of learning activities, ranging from soft skills such as communication skills to the hard skills provided in technical training programmes. The Academy realised that one way to achieve higher impact of their L&D offer would be to implement the HILL model. Both the employees and trainers felt that the Academy could increase the usage of e-learning when developing training programmes, as one of the employees illustrated: 'keeping internationalisation in mind during e-learning is very valuable'. The Academy can facilitate and strengthen transfer of learning by assigning a co-learner for during and after training before the training officially starts.
