ABSTRACT
O great and Almighty God! who performest abundance of works for us Thy creatures, who art tremendous in praises, who surely art the greatest and mightiest, and although Thy presence be concealed from all living, yet Thy inscrutability hides not from Thine eyes all flesh to the work of the end of salvation. The Lord of Hosts is Thy name! Who art mighty to save, and wondrous in performance. Wherefore are we, Thy people who are all here this day, the remnant of the flock who went within the tabernacle of Thy glory, come to bow down and kneel before Thee, and with utterance of thanksgiving and praise to return acknowledgments to Thy name: and may it be acceptable to Thee that our lips and tongues shall praise Thy righteousness, for Thou hast delivered her whom we love from death, and from the hand of him who sought to do her harm.
