ABSTRACT

To create a culture of integrity officer need everyone's buy-in at all levels to ensure the whole organisation is onboard. Effective ethics and compliance training tells people what is required, raises awareness about why it matters and empowers them to make the right choices by showing them how. This is the aim of the Ethics at Electrolux programme. All Novartis Group company employees are required to complete integrity and compliance training. Training and communication help to maintain a culture of ethics and improve compliance, particularly when supported by an infrastructure that provides guidance and advice. Training is offered in a range of formats, including e-training, face-to-face programmes and workshops. E-training courses exist in 17 languages highlighting topics of their Novartis Code of Conduct. As well as compulsory baseline training, the most effective ethics awareness programmes use many different channels and formats to reinforce the message: Interactive online modules, Classroom-based modules.
