ABSTRACT
Following the launch of Plan A in 2007 (a £200m. investment in
sustainability) there was greater emphasis on the environment
and health & wellbeing throughout business processes and products. Plan A was designed to address all the key social and
environmental issues relevant to a retailer and position M&S as a
sustainability leader. It has learnt much since starting its journey.
Its wide ranging process takes into account customer, employee, supplier, investor, political and NGO priorities. The Plan A team
