LET’S LOOK AT HOW A COMPANY in the service industry is integrating
sustainability at every station on the value chain. One Pacifi cCoast Bank
is a small federal fi nancial institution established in 2007. Among the
7092 banks in the US, it ranks 2197th in equity capital.84 It has one
of the highest loan growth rates among small banks.85 The bank grew
quickly between 2007 and 2012 through acquisition.
