ABSTRACT

Climate change has received an enormous amount of literary attention in recent years, despite and perhaps because of the continuing political stalemate over global climate change policy. For individuals and companies interested in exploring further various aspects of the business climate change risk topic, a Google, Amazon, or Kindle books search will turn up hundreds of titles and links aimed at the general reader. Any literature review of a topic as complicated and future-oriented as climate change should perhaps be prefaced by reference to the forecasting literature itself. Instead of focusing on what we need to do about climate change, more literature has begun to focus on the question of why we are not addressing climate change as the science suggests that we should. As national and international climate policy efforts have struggled forward, it has become increasingly clear that communicating climate change risk poses difficult challenges.
