ABSTRACT

The launch of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights has influenced the landscape of codes in significant ways. A number of the initiatives have undergone consultations with the Guiding Principles to ensure they are congruent. For example, the OECD Guidelines for MNEs, the Global Reporting Initiative and ISO 26000 all are compatible with the Guiding Principles, also known as the Ruggie Framework for its founder, John Ruggie.
