ABSTRACT

People realize the most important voice to listen to is the still, small voice within. One must be in dialogue and ensure that the corporate environment in general nurtures development and growth, especially for employees. Reclaiming Peircean Pragmatism holds a way out of the narrow and unprincipled "does whatever works" mindset that hobbles its use. In its Pathfinder form, it is a way for people to discover and tell their stories and exchange their beliefs, based on and discovered through their life experiences. Advertising began as a part of the ancient and honoured discipline of rhetoric, or persuasion. The shift from preaching to listening also relates to a basic shift from a selling to a marketing strategy—listening to the customer—which makes for better advertising. The CORPORANTES Pathfinder Lab Journal and Field Notebook are designed to help people discover the paths and stories of their own businesses and their careers within the various organizations where they have worked.
