ABSTRACT
Several years ago I was invited to Amsterdam to speak to a group of ` event promoters about sustainability. After I explained the basics of waste elimination and resource extension, the group politely applauded, the chairwoman thanked me for coming, and the attendees began collecting their mobile phones as they rose from the table. ‘Doesn’t anyone have any questions?’ I asked.
