ABSTRACT

Daniel made a point of being in the bar area of the restaurant fifteen minutes before the appointed time. He felt awkward in his father’s suit, and wished he’d finally gone out and bought one for himself. He scanned the entrance nervously every couple of minutes, and at 12.29 he saw a distinguished-looking man in a grey suit get out of a limousine. The man, who looked younger than Daniel had expected, walked towards him smiling. “Daniel?” said José, extending his hand.
