ABSTRACT

Third-generation partnerships seek to transform the factors constituting the contexts of the partners, and similar organisations, to enable them to move further towards their social and environmental goals. They include: advocacy partnerships, lobbying partnerships, enterprise partnerships, education partnerships, finance partnerships, and standards partnerships. Advocacy partnerships can aim to influence attitudes among the general public. Key to third-generation partnerships is that the corporate partner seeks to play a role in wider social change in ways that also make commercial sense. A global leadership development programme brings trained experts from Allianz together with established social enterprises to tackle their current business challenges, improve business operations and increase their overall social impact. At the same time, it benefits Allianz employees by building their innovation quotient, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, applying their skills in a different environment and acquiring leadership skills.
