Dilemma: Economic sanctions are a frequently used instrument to bring bad regimes into line. If multinational corporations circumvent an economic boycott, they act unethically, as the bad regime will benefit. But the consequences of complying with a boycott also tend to be unethical, as this hits the weaker in society more than the political elite.
