ABSTRACT
To succeed in the challenge of moving humankind from one paradigm to another, there is an urgent need for a new form of leadership, one that is not promising immediate results and only one solution. The largest untapped resource in this world is the creativity of the young. The young have a unique opportunity in their lives to take risks. The young are the antennae of our societies, the reflection of our consciences, and the translation of our dreams into realities. Teams of young people have been ‘given their heads’ at industrial facilities run by companies. The private sector has advantages, and the public sector has its mission. Unless the private-public-union-scientific partnership takes shape and form and co-operates towards a common vision of where we wish to be, there is little prospect that society as a whole can move forward, generate more, UpSize and achieve Zero Emissions.
