ABSTRACT
Raúl Castro Ruz has always been overshadowed by his charismatic, grandstanding, loquacious older brother, Fidel. He has also been generally underestimated; in actuality he has played and continues to play an important role in events in Cuba. The following biographical sketch was published in Strategy for Conquest in 1970.
