ABSTRACT
After the Twentieth Party Congress in 1956, rather comprehensive and allegedly unbiased statistical tables on demography, economics, the soCial composition of the population, and other subjects began to be published in the USSR. However, these official tables are incomplete and at times inaccurate. In officially issued demographic-statistical materials there continues to appear a systematically dishonest approach even to those statistical materials that have already been published.
