ABSTRACT

After completing schooling, Mr. Wallach became a tailor. Mrs. Wallach said she and her husband have always been aware of the danger of spoiling Edward, an only child and not too strong. Mrs. Wallach said that her husband's immediate family is in England. The Wallachs are Orthodox Jews who observe the dietary laws and attend synagogue. Mrs. Wallach said that she believes firmly in religion and is certain that her son's life was spared through the mercy of God in answer to prayers and faith. Mrs. Wallach said that she knew little about birth control because she has not needed it. Mr. Wallach is a citizen and a stanch Roosevelt supporter. Mrs. Wallach lost her citizenship by marriage to an alien, and did not realize it until the 1936 election. Mrs. Wallach said she first met her husband at a party to which she had been taken by a very handsome man with whom she considered herself violently in love.
