ABSTRACT

Mr. O'Leary seemed an intelligent person and talked co-operatively. The New York State Employment Service record states that Mr. O'Leary completed grammar school, but Mr. O'Leary says that he was graduated from the Christian Brothers High School in Ireland. After Mr. O'Leary completed school, he spent some time helping his father, who was a carpenter. Mr. O'Leary got work at a Chrevolet sales company as mechanic and helper and remained there for about six months. Mr. O'Leary explained that the work at the milk company is seasonal and that several of the platform men are laid off every winter, usually in December, when the slow season begins. Mr. O'Leary is a member of the Milk Workers' Union, Local #584 of the American Federation of Labor. Mr. O'Leary works at the Fulton Street Branch, which requires about 112 hours traveling from his home.
