ABSTRACT

The language of empirical scientific research is made up of instructions that are descriptions of sets of actions or operations that someone can follow accurately. The researcher could improve the chances that another researcher would use the same color if they compared their stimulus card to an interior decorator’s color chart, then wrote down the name and number of the matching color and the firm that puts out the color chart. With ingenious empirical research designs and instruments, meteorologists actually do measure spring. When researcher come to execute a piece of empirical research, all the concepts in the research and all the important words used in the write-up must be defined in terms of operations. Repeatability (replicability) is a major characteristic of scientific research. And operational definitions help make it possible for other researchers to repeat exactly what one researcher has done. Every piece of research aims to produce an answer to a scientific question.
