ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the Expansionary Culture trait by trait and examines the extent to which a variety of nations have begun to evolve into such a culture. It also examines the role of the arts in the Expansionary Culture more fully discusses the importance of a vibrant artistic milieu. The chapter focuses on the media as opinion leaders and cultural cheerleaders. It outlines the species must continue to nurture all the traits of the Expansionary Culture. A respect for materialism in terms of consumption and production must receive particular attention. Breaking biological constraints, reaching space, and producing food are inherently material objectives. The chapter describes that an overemphasis on racial and ethnic roots lead to divisiveness, how do people overcome what seems to be a natural tendency to notice differences? Part of the answer may lie in the development of an overall Expansionary culture. the family and educational systems exert a profound influence on the individual's personality and values.
