ABSTRACT
When members jointly select a group level of aspiration, they naturally expect one another to help attain that end. ln certain instances this expectation is the same for everyone, in other cases it differs; a higher achievement is needed from some, a lesser one from others. The quota for a particular person is conceived as a group's aspiration fo r that member.
