ABSTRACT

For a long time to come, Freud and psychoanalysis will be intimately asso ciated in the minds of most people with sex, as they have been for the past fifty years. This is to be expected, for Freud truly produced a revolution in sexual education, behavior, and mores. At the very least, his work permitted the world of science to become interested in this aspect of human behavior beyond the mere anatomy and physiology of the sexual apparatus. The role of sex in human functioning became a major and, at times, a dominating interest for the psychologist.
