Prescott Bush always had mixed feelings about his retirement from the Senate; on those days when Prescott felt fit, he had his regrets. He spent fine summers in Kennebunkport and enjoyed the winters at Hobe Sound; at the same time, he kept close track of George and his growing family, and especially the young man’s political career. 1
