ABSTRACT
Harry Robbins (“Bob”) Haldeman was the way his name appeared in news accounts, when it did appear—and any time it appeared was too often for a man with a genuine detestation for personal publicity. The Presidentelect referred to him in notes as “H”, which he adopted as his own signature in memos because HRH was too readily spoofed as “His Royal Highness.”
