ABSTRACT

The collected works of Georg Heym have appeared at intervals during the 1960s and 1970s, ably edited by Karl Ludwig Schneider and published by Heinrich Ellermann Verlag, Hamburg and Munich. Those for whom a briefer acquaintance with Heym suffices will still find value in the Fischer paperback, Gedichte und Prosa, edited by Hans Rauschning (Frankfurt, 1962), and the still useful but incomplete Gesammelte Gedichte, edited by Carl Seelig (Verlag der Arche, Zurich, 1947), incorrectly subtitled “Complete Edition.”
