ABSTRACT
By its very nature the Holocaust raises fundamental questions about the essence of mankind, of human society, and of morality, and about belief and religion as well. The way in which the Holocaust is contemplated influences the way it is taught, both directly and indirectly, and may even constitute a significant part of the learning material itself.
