ABSTRACT
The answer here lies in going back to basics. Rationality requires of us that in pursuing our goals we do the best that we can with the resources at our disposal. And this is the case in inquiry even as elsewhere. In the pursuit of truth we must do the best we can. Ratio nality insists that we do no less. But it also acknowledges that we can do no more.
