ABSTRACT
Julie Samuels attended an after-school program every day of the week when we first interviewed her at age 8, and her mother, Stephanie, felt positive about it:
I don’t worry about her. I know she likes her teachers, and ‘ve been pleased by some of the activities they’ve come up with…. There are times when I go to pick her up and she’s not ready to go, and that’s nice, that she’s that caught up in her projects.
