ABSTRACT
The purpose of a selection interview is to identify the best person for a job from a short list of candidates. Although interviews are a very popular means of selection and promotion, they are often done poorly. The usual interview is an unstructured, rambling conversation with the interviewer asking the following types of questions:
Why do you want this job?
What can you do for our company?
Tell me about yourself.
