ABSTRACT
As used in this book, work is a human effort expended to achieve a result. In work, two things happen simultaneously: a worker is doing something and something is getting done. What the worker is doing is functioning in some way in relation to an object. The object can be a Thing (something that is tangible), Data (information, ideas), or People (or live animals). Simultaneous with the functioning of the worker, a procedure /technology is being followed to produce a product or perform a service. The recognition of this duality is the bedrock of FJA.
