Perhaps it’s a bit of a stretch, but some say the practice of publicrelations goes back more than 2,000 years to the time of JuliusCaesar. Old Julius may have been recording history when he wrote his commentaries, but as the leader of all the Romans and the coiner of the memorable veni, vidi, vici, he was using an early form of PR to persuade the citizenry that he was doing a great job.
