ABSTRACT
Why do people dominate the planet? In one of the finest comic strips of the late 20th century, Calvin and Hobbes, Hobbes (a tiger) points out that people have no fangs, can barely see in the dark, have claws that are a joke, and as for looks, do not even have tails. Why is the tiger in danger of extinction, while humans worry about population control?
