ABSTRACT
The models described in the previous chapters are all multilevel variants of the
conventional multiple regression model. This is not as restrictive as it may seem, since
the multiple regression model is very flexible and can be used in many different
applications (for detailed examples see Cohen & Cohen, 1983). Still, there are models
that cannot be analyzed with multiple regression, notably factor analysis and path
analysis models.
