ABSTRACT

Cronbach, Gleser, N anda and Rajaratnam (1971) pointed to the importance of interpreting the reliability and validity of results in terms of their generalizability under varying conditions. This is also our view andin the present context, we highlight the following seven major facets of trustworthiness and generalizability:

1. The similarity to the results obtained if other methods were used to analyze the same data. For instance, to what degree does the obtained duster solution differ from the classification obtained by using another dustering algorithm?
