ABSTRACT

By carefully scrutinizing our personal values we can come to realize how we are self-destructive or life-affirming. And closer investigations of what effects our values have will help us determine and define how particular characters behave and react in the screenplays we are writing. Bad values can be addicting, and like other addictions, become habits we need to root out by will power and effort. There are 12-step programs out there for nearly everything. As the American Yogi Sri Daya Mata said in her book finding the Joy Within You, "The survival of civilization depends on observance of standards of right behavior. I am not talking about man made codes that change with changing times, but about timeless universal principles of conduct that promote healthy, happy, peaceful individuals and societies-allowing for diversity in a harmonious unity".
