ABSTRACT

We had received some donations to fund our work in developing new learning-by-doing curriculum at Grandview, but not enough to field full development teams for fifth, eighth, and twelfth grades. We had to find a way to make a little go a long way. The strategy we used for fifth grade was to use existing high-quality curricula and integrate them into a coherent storyline. However, there really wasn't anything available that we liked for the eighth and twelfth grades. Besides, the whole point was to do something new and different.
