Our Friend Is a Vegetarian

The school barbecue is an annual event for parents, children, and teachers to get together and “build school spirit.” The incident that I am about to describe took place the day after the school barbecue when 4-year-old Anthony told the class, during class meeting, that he was a vegetarian and that he was not able to eat the all-beef hamburgers and hot dogs at the barbecue.
