ABSTRACT

The 'Fade In' that starts our script and the 'Fade Out' that ends our script is our framework. The opening and the ending are our parameters to follow so we won't turn a comedy into a tragedy half-way through our screenplay. We want to construct our basic structure and build our framework so our story won't collapse in the middle. If we give our story idea enough time to incubate, a story structure will eventually begin to appear. Live with our idea for a while. Think about it 24 hours a day. Mull it over, sleep with it, visualize it before we commit any words to paper. It is important for us to look at all aspects of our idea and explore all the different possibilities opened to us before you begin your blueprint.
