ABSTRACT

Most students will enter your courses with positive expectations about you and with high hopes of enjoying themselves and doing well. These expectations provide the foundation for a good learning experience and a good teaching experience. The suggestions we have made in previous chapters should help you build on that foundation by offering a wellorganized course in a fair and consistent manner that conveys your concern for teaching effectively. In this chapter, we offer additional suggestions that are focused specifically on forging productive and mutually respectful relationships with your students.
