ABSTRACT

Scales used for prognosis were identified by Levitt and Gotts (1995) as 8Con, Cn, and WA; 4AC and W-AUT; the sum of 3DSA, 4SI, and 9IMP; and TSC/S and S+. The status of some scales has changed since that writing. One item of 8Con was reversed during item analysis (Appendix A), but its meaning remained stable. As mentioned in chapter 4, Cn was revised extensively and needed to be revalidated. WA was also revised, but was judged to have retained its meaning (see chap. 4). The 4AC scale was lost to unreliability, whereas W-AUT was unchanged. A new scale, Impert, was formed from the items of 3DSA, 4SI, and 9IMP (see chap. 6) and replaces their sum. Neither TSC/S nor S+ was changed during item analysis.
