Many people do not see any difference [between] covering a subject and asking the people involved to do something for our cameras because that is what they do—they just don’t happen to be doing it at the moment. The difference is being committed to the documentary photograph, therefore assuring our readers that the pictures are accurate … and our visual reporting is just that—reporting.
