ABSTRACT
Ilya Prigone, who received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1977, observed that “Theworld is richer than it is possible to express in any single language.” He was not referring to the many languages and dialects of the world, although it is true that story forms, descriptive terms, and cultural idioms are unique to the languages in which they arise.
