ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the features of child AAE. The chapter begins by laying the groundwork for the processes involved in discovering the features used by typically developing African American children, especially the challenges involved in this type of research. The features are then identified and described briefly. More detail and examples are provided in Appendix B.
