ABSTRACT
This chapter is an overview of the selection of inferential statistics. It is followed by chapters 24–33, which discuss the use and interpretation of specific statistics in more detail, using examples from clinical research studies. Choosing the proper statistical analysis can be a difficult task, considering the large number of possible choices. However, it is easier if you are familiar with the concepts discussed in previous chapters and summarized here.
